Within Project PROTASIS, the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Studies of the University of Lisbon Law School and the Portuguese Association for Victim Support developed a Guide of Services and Contacts of entities which provide support to victims of crime. The preparation of this instrument was preceded by meetings with different institutions with the purpose of better understanding the material and territorial scope of action of such institutions.
The Guide now presented intends to be a useful work tool for every professional, namely elements of the police forces who, when dealing with victims of crimes, often feel the need to refer them to the adequate support services.
In order to facilitate its use, the information included in the Guide is organized taking into account the location of the services and the type of victims for whom they are designed.
